Situation
UAW-Ford sought an integrated resource to act as its exclusive provider of a branded merchandise program for employee recognition, which spanned 64 plants.  Previously, UAW-Ford worked with a wide variety of suppliers in the process of purchasing employee recognition merchandise.

Challenge
The task called for the creation of a single catalogue through which all joint program purchases would be made. As the source for more than 200 USA/Union made products, the catalog was required to organize and present merchandise from multiple providers. Another challenge included developing a consistent product line that met UAW-Ford's needs while addressing their strict guidelines.

Solution
Custom overcame these challenges and successfully developed a full line of merchandise that allowed each decision maker to select and purchase pre-approved items for employee recognition.  Custom also developed a comprehensive Web site to provide the benefits of quick Internet ordering as well as the convenience of an automated quoting process.

As the exclusive supplier of Nickel Fund merchandise for UAW-Ford, Custom Promotions has streamlined the processing time of UAW-Ford joint programs and added value to the merchandising needs of 64 plants.
